Llangwm and District Gardening Club

We meet once a month, usually the first Monday of the month, 7:30 pm in either The Cottage Inn or the Village Hall, depending on activity. We aim to provide our members with interesting and gardening related talks or activities, social events and trips. Small annual membership.

We advertise monthly events on our own Facebook page as well as Llangwm Facebook page. Posters are placed in the village and we email members a monthly update. Our season runs from September to July.

Members have been busy recently with outside ‘fresh air’ events.

May saw the popular plant sale held outside the village hall and thanks to all donators and donations the club raised a valuable contribution. In June members were encouraged to meet at the open garden event at Lamphey Walled Garden and similarly in July we have the open garden at Stable Cottage, MATHRY.

Depending on the possible relaxing of covid rules we may be able to celebrate the end of a very difficult and challenging 20/21 season with an alfresco afternoon tea or a BBQ supper in August. We have so missed our get togethers at The Cottage Inn or in the village hall.

Season 21/22 starts on the first Monday of September. I hope by then we can start to return to something like our normal monthly meetings. Membership will remain at £5 per person.

All information about events is emailed to members with promotion on Llangwm Facebook page and the Club’s own Facebook page. Look out for event posters too, throughout the village.
